Hi, I’m Sophia! I grew up on Mount Desert Island, and these days I share life with my husband (pictured here) and our two golden retrievers. I first picked up a camera back in middle school !!! I would stage photo shoots with my friends just for fun. I’ve been in love with photography ever since.
New England has always been home to my heart. From the rocky shores of MDI to the charm of coastal towns, I’m endlessly inspired by the beauty around me and grateful that I get to capture it through my lens.
I’m drawn to what’s familiar and real... the way people settle into themselves when they stop trying to perform. My work is shaped by Maine, the coast, the woods, the long winters and fleeting summers, the quiet moments in between
I don’t believe in perfect poses or manufactured moments. I’ll guide you when needed, then step back and let things unfold. Wind happens. Kids wander. People laugh in the middle of sentences. That’s where the good stuff is.
When you’re in front of my camera, my goal is simple: I want the experience to feel easy, comfortable, and fun. Whether I’m photographing families, couples, or seniors, I focus on creating light, colorful images that celebrate real connection and joy, the kind of memories you’ll want to hold onto forever.
